About Perodua

Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sendirian Berhad, or more commonly known as Perodua, is a well-known Malaysian car company. Initially known for producing minicars, SUV and superminis, Perodua is now one of the largest manufacturers in the country. Besides building various car models for Malaysians, Perodua is also one of the most preferred car brands in the country.

Perodua’s Humble Beginnings

Founded in 1993, Perodua launched its first car, the Kancil a year later. This small car instantly became an icon. Nowadays, Perodua has a range of different vehicles, including sedans and SUV. However, the Myvi and Axia remained popular and became the most sold car models in Malaysia. The Perodua Myvi was also the highest selling car in Malaysia from 2006 to 2013.

The Beloved Myvi

In May 2005, Perodua launched the first Myvi model. The Perodua Myvi is a compact car with a youthful design and modern technology. It is Malaysia’s favourite car due to its sleek design, versatile space, and worth of value. The vehicle also has intelligent safety features that protect the driver and passengers.

Giving Everyone A Chance With Axia

Perodua Axia was launched in 2014. This newer model appealed to many first-time car buyers as it is one of the most affordable compact cars in the market. The built-in EEV engine meant improved fuel consumption and noise reduction, adding to the value of owning an Axia. Customers are guaranteed efficiency and also cost when they drive the Axia.

The Sporty Perodua Aruz

The Perodua Aruz is the latest model by Perodua. It is a seven-seater SUV with the fuel-efficient EEV engine. With a sporty and dynamic design and distinctive accents, the Perodua Aruz is pleasant to look at. If you have an Aruz, driving to your destination will be fun and comfortable.

Alza, The Most Popular MPV

Malaysia’s most popular MPV is the Perodua Alza. With its spacious and comfortable interiors, it’s clear to see why Malaysians prefer this. Every journey in an Alza is a pleasant experience when you consider the plush seats and unique multimedia system, including a roof-mounted monitor that comes with this MPV.

Bezza, Perodua’s First Sedan

Perodua Bezza is Perodua’s first EEV sedan car. The engine is compact and lightweight, making fuel consumption more efficient with every ride. The variety of colours complements the bold look of the Bezza it comes in. With chrome details on the interior and exterior, it is obvious why the Bezza is the choice sedan for many!

Perodua’s Relationship With Malaysia

Perodua has a special place in the hearts of Malaysians. Most driving schools used the Perodua Kancil before its production ceased, making it the first car for many beginner drivers. The Myvi was the nation’s favourite choice for many years, and now Malaysians can expect a new national car from Perodua in 2021.
